FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our adhesive products, application, safety, and guarantees.

  • What makes Indian Adhesive Hub's solvent cement different from others?
Our adhesive uses a 100% gum-free formula - the first of its kind in India. Unlike conventional solvent cements that use gums causing drying and thickening over time, our formula stays consistent from first use to last, maintains a 1+ year shelf life even when partially used, and achieves 90-95% melt bond efficiency through a cold process.
  • Which types of pipes is this adhesive suitable for?
We manufacture three product lines: PVC Solvent Cement for standard PVC pipes, UPVC Solvent Cement for unplasticized PVC pressure and drainage pipes, and CPVC Solvent Cement for chlorinated PVC hot water systems. Each is specially formulated for its pipe type.
  • Can the adhesive be used in running water conditions?
Yes. One of our most unique properties is the ability to join pipe punctures even in actively running water. This makes our adhesive ideal for emergency repairs without shutting off the water supply - a feature no other Indian solvent cement currently offers.
  • How long is the shelf life of the product?
Our gum-free formula maintains full usability for up to 1 year even when the tin is 60-70% used. Conventional adhesives begin degrading once opened, but our formula prevents thickening and maintains proper consistency throughout its shelf life.
  • Is the adhesive safe for skin contact?
Yes. Our formula is chemically designed to be skin-safe and eco-friendly. It acts similarly to an antiseptic on contact with skin, making it safer for plumbers who work with it daily. We recommend standard PPE but the risk from incidental skin contact is minimal.
  • What is the 5-Year Guarantee and what does it cover?
Every product from Indian Adhesive Hub comes with a 5-year guarantee on the bond integrity when applied correctly per our application guidelines. This covers joint failure under normal operating pressures and temperatures. Contact our team for full guarantee terms and conditions.
  • How do I apply the solvent cement correctly?
Clean the pipe and fitting surfaces thoroughly. Apply the cement evenly on both surfaces using the applicator brush. Push the pipe firmly into the fitting with a slight twisting motion. Hold for 30 seconds. Allow a cure time of 15-30 minutes before pressure testing. Full cure is achieved in 24 hours. Avoid contact with water during cure time.
  • Where can I purchase Indian Adhesive Hub products?
Our products are available through authorized distributors across Gujarat and India. Contact us at our Kubadthal Village, Ahmedabad office for the nearest stockist, bulk order inquiries, or distributor partnership opportunities.
